Emano ok’s 27 ‘ukay-ukay’ vendors
to display at Divisoria ‘til Dec. 31
The City Government of Cagayan de Oro has allowed some 27 used clothing vendors to display their wares in a designated area at Divisoria until December 31 this year.
This developed after City Mayor Vicente Y. Emano separately issued Executive Order Nos. 061, 062 and 063 for the purpose.
To ensure orderliness in the area, Mayor Emano ordered Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA) executive overseer Col. Antonio C. Montalba and assistant department head Engr. Nonito A. Oclarit to determine the area and segregate the vendors of used clothing, locally known as ‘ukay-ukay’.
Used clothing vendors who are permitted to sell their products are, namely: Amira Omra, Misbak Adiong, Amin Sarip, Normida Radia, Aslia Ande, Pinky Moktor, Rohaida Sarip, Mary Grace Esling.
Saipodeh Maca-Angas, Geneva Mae Cabeltes, Cybel Karen Ramos, Mocs Manggis, Tirso Cabeltes, Sr., Vilma Edrote, Alma Jandayan, Hannah Anilidasan, Antonio Anadon, Leoncio Rollorata.
Fernando Hesalla, Victor Cabeltes, Elizabeth Sacala, Joel Cabeltes, Ivy Ann Tanduyan, Joyce de la Cruz, Alumer Cabeltes, Tirso Cabeltes and Helen Gentiles.
With the onset of the Christmas holiday season, shoppers are expected to flock malls, bazaars, and street-on-display vending centers that offer cheap, affordable gifts and assorted products. (City Information Office)
